Slightly OT: Studying Informatics in the UK

Hi all,

Sorry for posting this question to the Cram Session Board. But as I figured this is the only board relating to student matters, I decided to put my question here.

My boyfriend is currently studying Informatics at an Austrian university. Funnily enough, many lectures are held in – rather bad – English, even by Austrian professors. To make life easier and to be able to follow the lectures in English without constant guessing what the professor is trying to explain in English – not to mention the often unsuccessful attempts to „decode“ the professor’s horrible accent when talking in English, my boyfriend is thinking about doing a semester abroad, preferably at a British university. So I was wondering whether there are any British students of Informatics around who could tell me a bit about their university, especially about the conditions for blind people who are eager to obtain a master’s degree in the field of Informatics. Any explanations and recommendations on this matter are highly appreciated.

Many thanks for your help in advance and have a nice day everyone.
